France, Oman to cooperate on Hormuz demining

France and Oman will work together to secure maritime routes through the Strait of Hormuz, announcing joint cooperation on demining efforts during Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's first official visit to France.

Axar.az reports that French President Emmanuel Macron stated this on his X account on Monday.

"We are working together for de-escalation in the Middle East. We have decided to collaborate jointly, in coordination with our partners, on demining the strait to secure maritime routes and ensure free and unconditional passage through the Strait of Hormuz," Macron said.
