Russian forces launched a missile strike on a civilian dry-cargo ship owned by a Turkish company near Odesa.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, that the vessel, sailing under the flag of Guinea-Bissau, was transporting grain at the time of the attack.

According to the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, five people were killed in the strike, while another five are considered missing.

Units of the Ukrainian Navy and the Maritime Search and Rescue Service were deployed for the rescue operation. As of 8:30 p.m., eight crew members had been evacuated and taken to a hospital in Odesa.

The search for five other sailors is ongoing.

At least six sailors were killed in the attack on the vessel, according to the Ukrainian Navy.

Four more bodies have been recovered from the Turkish-owned civilian cargo ship Golden Leo, which was struck by three Russian missiles on July 19.

The information was released by the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The discovery brings the death toll from the Russian attack to 10. The victims include nine foreign crew members and one Ukrainian pilot.

Seven other people were injured in the attack.
