Kazakhstan's capital, Astana, will host its first-ever air taxi demonstration flight.

Axar.az reports, citing Kazinform, that the demonstration will feature the AutoFlight Prosperity electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

Designed to carry one pilot and five passengers, the aircraft can reach speeds of up to 200 km/h and has a range of up to 200 kilometers.

The demonstration flight is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on July 24 at the Qazanat Hippodrome. Organizers noted that the date and time may change depending on weather conditions.

Kazakhstan held its first eVTOL demonstration flights in May 2026 in the city of Alatau. In June, the country enacted legislation regulating the development of air taxis, eVTOL aircraft, and unmanned aviation.
