The last fugitive helicopter pilot involved in the July 15, 2016 coup attempt and the assassination plot targeting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been captured.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that according to Turkiye's Interior Ministry, dismissed Captain B.K. was located following an extensive intelligence operation coordinated by the General Directorate of Security's Intelligence Department, with the participation of the intelligence units of the Afyonkarahisar and Eskishehir provincial police departments, as well as the Afyonkarahisar Counter-Terrorism Branch.

Authorities said the suspect's whereabouts were identified after a joint intelligence analysis and surveillance operation.
