US President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran will resume on Monday, a day after he said he was canceling a planned attack contingent on the two sides “rapidly” making a deal.
Axar.az reports, citing CNN, that Iranian state media gave no indication that Tehran asked for the attacks to be called off or has changed its stance on the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump said Saturday night that the US is canceling a planned attack on Iran, citing progress in talks.
Trump said the US “is locked and loaded and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran,” but that he agreed to requests by Iran and other Middle Eastern countries “to hold off any attack in that the perimeters of a deal has been agreed to.”
