Fourteen people were killed and another 27 were injured as a result of Russian army strikes on the Kyiv region during the night of August 5.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that the information was released by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) and the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

"The attacks on Brovary District caused major fires at warehouse buildings in the city of Brovary, the town of Velyka Dymerka, and the villages of Kvitneve and Peremoha.

A fire that broke out in vehicles at one of the enterprises in Fastiv District has been extinguished. Firefighting efforts are continuing at a warehouse in the village of Chaiky, Bucha District. In the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka, firefighters have contained the blaze at a logistics center," the statement said.

It was also noted that the Obolon, Sviatoshyn, Holosiiv, and Desnianskyi districts came under attack during the night.

The death toll from Russia's massive strike on the Kyiv region has risen to 17, while 44 people have been injured.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the updated casualty figures on his Telegram channel.
