Pakistan highly values Azerbaijan as strategic partner

Pakistan deeply values Azerbaijan as a trusted brotherly country and strategic partner, and bilateral ties between the two countries continue to strengthen.

Axar.az reports, citing Pakistani media, that Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari made the remarks during a farewell meeting with Azerbaijan’s outgoing Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov at the Aiwan-e-Sadr presidential residence in Islamabad.

Zardari said bilateral ties, founded on mutual trust and steadfast support for each other’s core interests, continue to grow stronger.

The Pakistani president expressed satisfaction with the enhanced trajectory of parliamentary, business, cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

Zardari also commended Farhadov’s contribution to further strengthening the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

He congratulated Farhadov on the completion of his diplomatic mission in Pakistan and wished him success in his future endeavors.
