Iranian Army Ground Forces Commander Ali Jahanshahi has warned that Iran would respond decisively if US military personnel entered the country.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that speaking during a visit to Army units in southeastern Iran and along the Makran coast, Jahanshahi said Iranian forces were closely monitoring threats and remained fully prepared for any hostile action.

“If an American soldier sets foot in Iran, we will cut it off. We will respond decisively and deterrently to any action by the enemy.”

He added that the presence of rapid-reaction and special forces units along the borders contributed to maintaining security, while saying the readiness of Iran’s armed forces had disrupted the calculations of its adversaries.
