Ukrainian forces carried out a drone strike on an oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian Telegram channels, that residents of Nizhnekamsk and Chistopol reported seeing large numbers of drones flying over the cities.

Explosions and fires were reported at the refinery following the strikes.

According to the channel, 10 people were killed and 15 others injured in the Ukrainian drone attack on Nizhnekamsk.

A period of mourning has been declared across the republic.

The drone attacks are still ongoing.

According to the Tatarstan government, 12 people were killed and 39 others were injured.

Additional medical teams have been sent to the city to provide assistance to all those injured.
