Strategic cooperation between Turkiye and Austria could help strengthen the Middle Corridor, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

Axar.az reports, citing Anadolu, that Erdogan made the remarks at a joint press conference with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker in Ankara.

“Together with Austria, we can implement strategic cooperation to strengthen the Middle Corridor,” Erdogan said.

He also stressed the importance of EU steps to update the Customs Union and advance visa liberalization with Turkiye.

“Steps by the European Union toward updating the Customs Union and advancing visa liberalization would serve the interests of all,” the Turkish president said.
