An explosion in Sevastopol on the morning of August 13 killed a man.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, that the explosion occurred on Stoletov Avenue. According to preliminary reports from Russian sources, the man was walking down a staircase with a friend when the blast occurred. He died at the scene from his injuries.

The explosive device was placed in a trash bin near a bench.

Telegram channel Mash also claimed that a woman carrying a backpack may have been involved in the explosion and allegedly followed the man.

Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels have widely reported that the victim may have been Robert Shageev, deputy commander of the Black Sea Fleet’s 4th Separate Submarine Brigade. He was an officer in the Ukrainian Navy and switched sides to Russia after the occupation of the peninsula.
