Russian strike kills woman and 9-year-old son in Sumy

As a result of a double strike by Russian forces using two jet-powered UAVs on a private home in the Buryn community of Sumy region, a 29-year-old woman and her 9-year-old son were killed.

Axar.az informs, citing Ukrainian media, that the Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleh Hryhorov made the remarks on Telegram.

"Sadly, a 29-year-old woman and her 9-year-old son were killed at the scene," he said.

Russian forces carried out two strikes on the private home early in the morning. The attack caused significant damage to the building and sparked a fire.

According to Hryhorov, four other people were injured. Two of them — the deceased boy's father and grandmother — are hospitalized with severe burns.
