Russian missile strike kills railway worker in Kyiv

Russian forces launched a missile strike on a railway facility in Kyiv’s Darnytsia district overnight on August 22, killing a Ukrzaliznytsia employee.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, that according to the Ukrzaliznytsia Board Chairman Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, a foreman was killed at the scene. The other employees were quickly evacuated after the first strike.

He noted that Ukrzaliznytsia is investigating whether the strike occurred simultaneously with the warning of a ballistic threat or even several seconds before it.
