Russian forces struck a railway depot and other railway facilities in Kyiv with ballistic missiles overnight on September 1, killing seven people, six of them employees of Ukrzaliznytsia, and injuring others.
Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, that Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia, made the remarks.
“Overnight ballistic strikes on Kyiv specifically targeted a railway depot and other railway facilities.
The ballistic strike claimed the lives of seven people, six of whom were our employees. One colleague is in the hospital with injuries — our team is nearby and providing all necessary assistance. Dozens of people managed to take shelter, and we are helping them recover from the ordeal,” he said.
