Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian and U.S. officials remain in contact, and Russia hopes to restore full-scale relations with the United States, but this depends not only on Moscow.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Putin made the remark during the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum.

“As for our contacts with the American administration, they are continuing. We are in contact with the American administration, and we remain in contact. I hope these contacts will continue,” he said.

According to Putin, Russia is “in favor of restoring relations with the United States in full.”

“But it does not depend only on us; it also depends on the American side,” he explained.
