Overnight on September 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian military facility near Sochi.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that a large fire broke out there following a series of explosions.

Local residents reported numerous explosions in the Sochi area overnight. Eyewitnesses later recorded a large fire near the Sirius settlement, close to the Psou River and the border with Abkhazia.

According to OSINT analysts, a Russian S-300 or S-400 air defense system is located in the area. However, the exact consequences of the strike and the extent of damage to the system have not yet been established.
