Russian President Vladimir Putin said that U.S. President Donald Trump continues his efforts to contribute to resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Putin made the remark during a meeting with U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

“I understand that he [President Trump] is stepping into a difficult situation. Nevertheless, he continues his efforts to help resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict and contribute to its settlement,” Putin said.

Putin said the talks with the U.S. representatives would cover all aspects of the conflict. “For our part, we are also ready to brief you on how we see the situation,” he added.
