Houthis say they downed Saudi drone over Yemen

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the Yemeni rebel group Ansar Allah has claimed to have shot down a Saudi-operated Wing Loong II reconnaissance and strike drone over Yemeni airspace.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that according to Saree, the drone was shot down this morning over the Maqbanah district of Taiz province in southwestern Yemen.

The claim has not been independently verified. Similar Houthi claims involving Saudi-operated Wing Loong II drones have been reported previously.
