Ukraine attacks Russian Azot chemical plant -

The Ukrainian military has attacked the Azot chemical plant in the Russian city of Novomoskovsk, in the Tula region.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that the attack caused a large-scale fire at the facility.

İt should be noted that the Azot plant belongs to the EuroChem group and is one of Russia’s largest nitrogen fertilizer producers. It manufactures ammonia, ammonium nitrate, urea and methanol. The plant is also important to Russia’s military-industrial complex. According to Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, the facility supplies nitric acid to the Sverdlov plant in the city of Dzerzhinsk, where explosives are manufactured.
