A drone attack and a car bomb near a military base in Planadas, in Colombia's Tolima department, have killed four people, including a two-month-old baby.
Axar.az reports, citing local media, the attack is the latest in a wave of violence that has gripped the country and is being described as the worst in a decade, local Governor Adriana Matiz said.
"With deep sorrow, I report that the attack in Planadas has left four people dead, including a baby just two months old. This is unacceptable!" Matiz wrote on X.
According to preliminary reports, a truck loaded with explosives detonated, damaging part of a hospital and several homes. Drones were also reportedly used in the attack, local media reported.
Authorities have not yet identified those responsible for the attack.
Since taking office in August, right-wing President Abelardo de la Espriella has launched an offensive against guerrilla camps, leaving dozens dead, including at least eight minors.
Meanwhile, armed groups have continued carrying out bomb attacks in various parts of the country, as well as assassinations, including that of a mayoral candidate.
The use of drones carrying explosives by illegal armed groups in Colombia is also becoming increasingly common.
