Ukraine adds Leonid Yakubovich to intelligence database

Russian TV presenter and screenwriter Leonid Yakubovich has been added to the database maintained by Ukraine's Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR).

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that according to the information published on the database's website, Yakubovich, as a public figure, supports Russia's actions and the Russian authorities' policy toward Ukraine. The stated reasons for his inclusion also include his support for recognizing the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), his repeated role as a trusted representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin during presidential elections, and his visits to Crimea.

Since early 2022, the War&Sanctions database has compiled information on more than 450 public figures, athletes and entertainers whom Ukraine's military intelligence associates with "Russian propaganda."
