The Turkish Navy received a new Corvette - "F-513 TCG Burgazada" of domestic production, Turkish media reported on Nov. 5.

CG Burgazada F-513 is the third ship designed for the guard and convoy service and anti-submarine and air defense of naval bases, the reports said.

Presently, such projects as MILGEM (construction of ships), LHD (construction of a multipurpose amphibious assault ship), LST (construction of an amphibious ship) MOSHIP (construction of Submarine Rescue Mother Ship) are also being developed.

Turkish engineers have also recently developed a "robot fish" with the support of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) at the Technological University Firat. This robotic device can conduct underwater observations. The development of new types of robots is planned in Turkey.
