The epidemic situation in Armenia is deteriorating. Hospitals are unable to accept all those infected with the coronavirus in a timely manner.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"I have bad news. Our epidemic situation is deteriorating. Yesterday, 697 cases of coronavirus infection were registered. This means that we can no longer admit all those who need it to medical institutions on time," he said.

Pashinyan said there were currently 20,000 coronavirus carriers in the country unaware of the infection.
