Statement from the CSTO on Tovuz provocation

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has expressed serious concern over tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and called on the parties to cease fire immediately.

Axar.az reports that the statement was made in the CSTO statement.

"We call on the parties to immediately restore the ceasefire in the CSTO area of responsibility. We offer our condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured," the statement said.

The statement also said that the situation on the border testified to the violation of the ceasefire agreement reached between the two countries.
