British and Norwegian ambassadors in Iran summoned to MFA

The British ambassador to Iran was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government's strong objection was conveyed to him.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran released information about this.

The non-objective and biased coverage of the riots that took place in different cities of Iran starting from September 16 on British TV channels was brought to the ambassador's attention. It was reported that the Persian-language TV channels operating in London accuse the Iranian government without getting to the essence of the events. Official Tehran evaluates such cases as interference in the country's internal affairs and demands the immediate suspension of the activities of those television channels.

On the same day, the ambassador of Norway to Iran was also summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a note of protest was presented to him. It was reported that the Speaker of the Norwegian Parliament made statements to further inflame the events in Iran, which means directly interfering in the country's internal affairs. The ambassador of Norway also said that he will convey the protest of the Iranian government to his own government.
