The international arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) may be more dangerous for Russian President Vladimir Putin than all Western sanctions.
Axar.az reports that Russian political scientist Alexander Baunov said this.
He noted that the arrest decision will not have direct legal consequences for Putin. But it could have a significant impact on the Kremlin's attempts to mend relations with the countries of the global East and South after disconnecting from the global West:
"The biggest interlocutors of the Kremlin - China, India, Turkiye, do not recognize the ICC either. But it can be said that all of Africa and Latin America, where Russia is trying to present itself as a flagship in the fight against it, recognize this court. Some African countries not only recognize the ICC, on the contrary, they cooperate with him in the implementation of justice".
