FIFA President Gianni Infantino will stand for re-election in 2027.

Axar.az reports, citing Sky News Sports Correspondent Rob Harris's X account, that FIFA reiterated that Infantino’s decision, which he announced in April, remains unchanged.

"FIFA spokesperson: 'The FIFA President announced in April that he will stand for re-election in 2027. Of course, nothing has changed. Mr Infantino will be standing for re-election.'

No rival candidate has come forward yet. November deadline. Need backing of 5 FAs," the statement reads.

It should be noted that the FIFA presidential election will be held in Rabat in March 2027.
