Armenia refrained from accepting the clause on the situation in Ukraine in the declaration of the "Democracy Summit".

Axar.az reports that "Kommersant" published information about this.

US President Biden initiated the "Summit for Democracy". At the end of the plenary session, the Declaration was accepted, to which Armenia also joined with reservations. The document states that the participants of the summit condemn the humanitarian consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine and demand the immediate withdrawal of troops from the territory of the country. The participants of the summit also supported bringing to justice the perpetrators of "the most serious crimes within the framework of international law committed on the territory of Ukraine". Armenia, India and Mexico also refused this clause of the Declaration, which they acceded to with reservations. In total, representatives of 73 countries signed the document," the report said.
