An attempt was made on the life of Anton Yakimenko, deputy of the Akimov district council, in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Axar.az reports that Vladimir Rogov, co-chairman of the coordination council for the integration of new regions of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, said this.

"Another terrorist attack in Zaporizhzhia region. "We received information that today terrorists attacked a deputy of the Akimov district council," he said.

Rogov then said that the assassination was committed against Anton Yakimenko, a member of the "United Russia" party:

"Yakimenko was in the top three in the party's voter list for local elections."
