Ankara can lay the foundation for a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this during his meeting with Russian President Volodymyr Putin in Astana.

The President of Turkiye said that his country will continue its efforts to establish peace in the region and around the world.

"Turkiye can lay the foundation for reaching an agreement to end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine first with a ceasefire and then with a peace agreement. A fair peace that can satisfy both sides is possible."
