Restrictions have been applied to the flights of Tehran's Mehrabad International Airport due to the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian president.

Axar.az reports that the head of Mehrabad airport, Ibrahim Moradi, said in a meeting held at the Civil Aviation Organization.

"On July 28 and 30, all VFR flights (visual flight) within Tehran airport were suspended. Also, Mehrabad airport flights will be operated in normal mode until 12:00 on the day of the swearing-in ceremony. From 12:00 to 22:00 local time, no flights to the airport will be accepted, only flights from the airport."

According to him, this decision was made in order to facilitate the swearing-in ceremony and ensure security.

It should be noted that Masoud Pezeshkian's swearing-in ceremony will be held on July 30 in the Iranian parliament.
