Pezeshkian officially confirmed as new president of Iran

Today, a ceremony was held in "Huseyniyya" (Mosque) of Ali Khamenei's residence in connection with the inauguration of the new President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.

Axar.az reports that at a ceremony attended by government officials, Ali Khamenei presented the presidential mandate to Masoud Pezeshkian.

Masoud Pezeshkian, who spoke after Khamenei, said that he has officially started his duties from today and promised to do his best to fulfill the tasks set before him.

"It is the clear path that the constitution requires, the supreme leader has appointed and shown us. This requires the general policies and program of the Islamic Republic to be carried forward correctly.

It should be noted that the official swearing-in ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian will be held in the parliament on July 30 with the participation of the country's officials, ambassadors of foreign countries and foreign diplomats.
