Iran has developed a new "Shahed-238" unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capable of hitting flying targets.

Axar.az reports that "Army Recognition" published information about this.

It was reported that the UAV was developed in three versions and was designed for different missions.

From the characteristics of the UAV, it is known that it can attack targets both on the ground and in the air. It is also reported that "Shahid-238" managed to capture the US "MQ-9 Reaper" drone.

Although "Shahid-238" looks similar to "Shahid-136", there are differences in their engine parts. "Shahid-238" is equipped with an integrated, heavier "Toloue-10" mini-turbojet engine.

The technical characteristics of "Shahid-238" are as follows:

- length 3.5 m;

- wingspan 3 m;

- speed up to 600 km/h;

- impact speed more than 700 km/h;

- maximum flight height 9,144 m;

- flight duration 2 hours;

- maximum take-off weight 380 kg;

- GPS/INS and GNSS guidance system.
