Kirby stated that the recent claims by Russian officials about the alleged coordination of the Ukrainian army's attack on the Kursk region by the West are 'Putin propaganda.'

'The only people fighting in Ukraine are Russians. They are the ones who invaded Ukraine, and Ukraine is defending itself against aggression. This is Putin's war against Ukraine. And if he is worried about something or if something doesn't satisfy him, then there is a very simple solution: let him leave Ukraine and stop the war.'
