It is noted that Western partners still do not understand Kyiv's objectives in the Kursk region. Officials from Western countries fear that Ukrainian troops may completely lose their positions in the Russian region in the coming months.

According to some Western officials, the operation carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region – especially considering the successes of the Russian army in the “DPR” – could come at a high cost for Ukraine.
