French President Emmanuel Macron has appointed Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné to replace Thierry Breton as France's European Union commissioner.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by "Politico."

It should be noted that France's EU commissioner Thierry Breton announced his resignation today.

"The departure of Breton and the appointment of Séjourné could indicate a shift in the political dynamics in Europe and France's role in the European Union," the report says.
