Currently, there are about three million refugees from Syria in Turkiye.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

"Due to the situation in Lebanon, we have kept our door open for those coming to Turkiye. There are also Turkmens there. I have said that we are keeping our door open for these compatriots, and I am saying it now," Erdogan said.
