We have close relations in all fields between our NATO ally Germany and the two great powers. Recent high-level visits between our countries are a clear indication of this.

Axar.az reports that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this in a press release after his meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who is visiting Turkiye.

"The locomotive of these relations is our human ties and common interests. There is a Turkish community in Germany that includes more than 3.5 million people. More than 6 million German tourists visit our country every year. Of course, we wish this number to increase even more. We have discussed all aspects of relations between our countries. Our goal is to reach 60 billion dollars," Erdogan said.
