The information spread about India's obstacle to Turkiye's membership in the BRICS summit held in Kazan on October 22-24 is not true.

Axar.az reports that the Disinformation Center of the Presidential Administration of Turkiye has released information about this.

"The issue of other countries' membership in BRICS was not on the agenda of the extended meeting of leaders, which was also attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The information spread about India blocking Turkiye's membership in BRICS is far from the truth," it was said.

It should be noted that according to the claim of the German "Bild" publication, Ankara's accession to BRICS is prevented by India due to the close relations between Turkiye and Pakistan.
