As part of talks to normalize relations, India and Pakistan have agreed to withdraw additional troops they brought to the border region during the recent tension by the end of May this year.

Axar.az reports, citing the AFP news agency.

The troops in question will return to their peacetime positions.

The latest military escalation between the two countries began on May 7, when Pakistan shot down several Indian fighter jets and dozens of UAVs.
