The use of nuclear weapons is considered an absolute last resort by Russia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Kremlin.

"Russia has always viewed nuclear weapons as a deterrent, and their use is a measure of last resort," Peskov said.

It should be noted that today, Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the updated nuclear doctrine, which outlines the core principles of the state's policy in the field of nuclear deterrence.
