Turkiye imports 40% of its gas from Gazprom, but the U.S. doesn’t seem to care.

Axar.az reports that these remarks were made by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in response to U.S. sanctions on several Russian entities, including Gazprom.

"They impose sanctions on you for measures taken to protect your national interests. For example, today they sanctioned Gazprom. Forty percent of our gas imports come from Gazprom, and they couldn’t care less. Turkiye cannot be a satellite of another country," he stated.
