A massive fire broke out in a slum area of Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

Axar.az informs that AFP reported on the incident.

The Manila Fire Department stated that the blaze, believed to have started on the second floor of a house, destroyed nearly 1,000 homes.

Drone footage released by the city’s Emergency Management Agency showed homes reduced to ashes in Isla Puting Bato village. Repоrts indicate that around 2,000 families lived in the affected homes.

No casualties or injuries have been reported.
