Azerbaijani delegation participates in NATO PA session

The 70th annual session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (PA) has begun in Montreal, Canada.

Axar.az reports that representatives from 32 NATO member countries, as well as partner states, are participating in the session, which is being held from November 22 to 25.

During the committee meetings of the session, discussions will be held on topics such as the war in Ukraine, outcomes and decisions from the NATO Washington Summit, strengthening the Alliance's defense, the future of NATO partnerships, perspectives on partnerships with the Global South and the Indo-Pacific region, Black Sea region security, threats from China, security challenges faced by NATO, climate change, the application of high technologies and artificial intelligence, and other related issues.

The Azerbaijani delegation from the National Assembly and members of Azerbaijan's NATO delegation are attending the event.

During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation also met with NATO PA Secretary General Ruxandra Popa and the head of the Turkish Grand National Assembly delegation to NATO PA, Mevlut Chavushoglu.
