Georgian president calls for European reaction to protests

I expect a strong reaction from European capitals regarding the situation in Georgia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili on social media:

"6.30 am protests and repression still ongoing in central Tbilisi. Targeted are journalists and political leaders. I expect a strong reaction from European capitals."

It is worth noting that yesterday, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that the country had suspended its EU membership negotiations until 2028 and had rejected EU grants. Following this, the opposition began large-scale protests in Tbilisi. President Zurabishvili also joined the protests, claiming that a constitutional coup had taken place in the country.
