The leader of France's central Democratic Movement Party, François Bayrou, has been appointed as the country's new prime minister.

Axar.az reports, citing BFMTV, that this information was provided by the Élysée Palace.

It should be noted that after the French Parliament's vote of no confidence, President Emmanuel Macron accepted the resignation request of Prime Minister Michel Barnier.
