A 7.4-magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Vanuatu.

Axar.az reports that the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported the event.

The earthquake occurred at 12:47 local time (05:47 Baku time), 25 km west of the capital, Port Vila.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 28 km.

The United States Tsunami Warning System has issued a tsunami warning.

There is no information regarding casualties or damages.
