The fighter jets of Yemen's Ansarullah movement (Houthis) hit a U.S. Navy F/A-18 fighter during an attack on the aircraft carrier Harry Truman in the Red Sea, successfully repelling a joint airstrike by British and U.S. forces.

Axar.az reports that Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree made this statement during a live broadcast on Al-Masirah TV.

He mentioned that the operation involved eight cruise missiles and 17 drones.

Saree also emphasized that most of the U.S. fighter jets left Yemen's airspace and headed toward neutral waters of the Red Sea, attempting to repel the attack on the aircraft carrier:

"After the Truman aircraft carrier was hit, it withdrew from its position."

It should be noted that previously, the U.S. had reported that, during an attack on the Houthis, it accidentally shot down its own F/A-18 fighter jet.
