Mayor among 47 arrested in Istanbul bribery probe

Arrest warrants have been issued for 47 suspects in Istanbul as part of an investigation into a criminal network led by Aziz Ihsan Aktash, accused of manipulating tender processes through bribery of municipal leaders and senior officials.

Axar.az reports according to the Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office, the arrest warrants have been confirmed.

Among those with arrest warrants is Rıza Akpolat, the mayor of Beshiktash, Istanbul. It is reported that he is being held at his villa.
