Iran aims to strengthen South Caucasus security

Iran uses all opportunities to strengthen security in the South Caucasus.

Axar.az reports that the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghai, said these words while commenting on the recent visit of the Secretary of the Supreme Security Council, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, to Baku and Yerevan.

Baghai noted that Ahmadian's visit to neighboring countries was planned in advance and this visit should be considered in the context of the importance of the South Caucasus for Iran.

He said that the countries of the region should ensure security without the intervention of third forces; Formats similar to "3+3" with the participation of Iran, Russia, Armenia, Turkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia can largely solve this problem.
